Technician (Borescope Inspector)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Technician (Borescope Inspector) to work onsite in Singapore. The role covers borescope inspections of aircraft engines and engine modules, reporting and documentation, and maintenance of the borescope equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Engine Receive-In Borescope Inspection and Engine Pre-Delivery Borescope Inspection.
• Carry out Borescope Inspection on Engine Modules and associated parts.
• Furnish Borescope reports and complete documentation after each task.
• Execute Borescope processes using current approved technical data and standard work processes.
• Maintain the Borescope equipment through Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM).
• Solve technical issues and problems encountered during daily activities.
• Assist the Operations Manager, Operations Leader and Assistant Foremen in achieving production targets, corporate goals and discipline.
• Perform cross-functional jobs within the department and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant course.
• Valid Certificate in Engine Borescope Inspection.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in Engine Borescope Inspection.
• Preferred: experience in aircraft engine workshop procedures, training on G.E. Mentor (BSI equipment), Boreblend training certificate and experience, and experience with PW4000/PW1100/GP7000 engines.

Required skills

• Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Good analytical skills, able to grasp concepts and resolve issues quickly.
• Able to work independently, multi-task and work under pressure.
