Technician (Chemical Clean)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an onsite Technician (Chemical Clean) in Singapore. The technician performs mechanical and chemical cleaning processes in line with the production schedule, following quality work procedures and guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and chemical cleaning processes according to the production schedule.
• Carry out daily tasks in line with quality work procedures and guidelines.
• Support and take part in EHS, quality, ethics and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Be familiar with engine manuals, standards and other contractual documents that control the cleaning method used by MRO.
• Possess basic knowledge of relevant product materials and inspection criteria.
• Set up and standardise cleaning equipment, process parts, judge their acceptance or rejection and document results.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the workshop engineer or cell leaders.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another related discipline.
• Knowledge of mechanical and chemical cleaning processes required for aviation MRO.
• High level of integrity and accountability, with a strong drive for quality.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Preferred: self-motivated, able to work independently, positive attitude to change management, and aerospace experience with aircraft structures, engines and/or components.
