Technician I, Sterile Production Operations

About the role

The Technician I in Sterile Production Operations supports the Filling department by performing technical tasks related to the processing of ophthalmic ingredients and pharmaceutical products. You will work in a clean‑room environment, operating equipment, handling materials, and ensuring compliance with cGMP standards to deliver high‑quality eye‑care products.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain sterile conditions of rooms and equipment in collaboration with the supervisor and team.
• Operate, monitor, and clean aseptic filling equipment for ophthalmic products according to cGMP.
• Perform routine steam sterilization of production and cleaning equipment.
• Conduct microbiological sampling for environmental and personnel monitoring.
• Prepare, verify, and transfer materials/components used in aseptic filling.
• Support validation activities related to cleaning and aseptic filling.
• Assist in investigating process deviations and identifying productivity improvements.
• Execute any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• NITEC or higher qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related pharmaceutical discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within pharmaceutical or cGMP settings.
