Technician (Inspection) - Aviation Engines

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military and business aircraft. It is hiring an Inspection Technician for its workshop in Loyang, Singapore, an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection of engine parts and components according to manuals and technical work publications.
• Carry out dimensional inspection using precision instruments such as bore gauges, computer measuring machines and borescopes.
• Perform engine-level inspections per manuals and technical work publications.
• Interpret technical work instructions such as Service Bulletins or equivalent work instructions.
• Complete daily tasks following quality work procedures and guidelines.
• Support and take part in EHS, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Workshop Engineer or Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC or Higher NITEC in Precision, Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• High level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive for quality.
• Able to work on weekly rotating shifts.
• Advantageous: a Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience as a detailed inspector or in visual and dimensional inspection within the aviation industry.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
