Technician / Lead Technician (Test Cell)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is hiring a Technician or Lead Technician for its Test Cell in Singapore. The role involves rigging, testing and derigging engines in a test cell environment, supporting production targets and working alongside Assistant Foremen and Cell Leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Rig, test and derig engines in a test cell environment.
• Operate machinery, equipment and tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines, modules, components and accessories.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during daily operations to keep workflow efficient.
• Support Assistant Foremen and Cell Leaders in reaching production and operational targets.
• Perform SAP transactions, including updating and modifying work orders.
• Take part in EH&S programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in engine testing, module assembly, disassembly or inspection.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and manuals.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented and hands-on, proactive and eager to learn.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts and commit to overtime when required.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical experience in Engine MRO or the aerospace industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
