Technician (QC Inspector) - Aircraft Engines

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, designs, manufactures and services aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military and business aircraft. It is recruiting a Technician (QC Inspector) at its Loyang Crescent site in Singapore, working on engine parts and components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspection of engine parts and components according to manuals and technical work publications.
• Carry out dimensional inspection using precision instruments such as bore gauges, computer measuring machines and borescope equipment.
• Perform engine-level inspection per manuals and technical work publications.
• Interpret technical work instructions such as Service Bulletins or equivalent work instructions.
• Complete daily tasks following quality work procedures and guidelines.
• Support and take part in EHS, Quality, Ethics and Continuous Improvement projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Workshop Engineer or Manager.

Required profile

• NITEC or higher in Precision, Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• High level of integrity and accountability with a strong drive towards quality.
• Able to work on weekly rotating shifts.
• Diploma holders are favoured; two years of relevant experience as a detailed inspector, visual and dimensional inspector in the aviation industry is required.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with SAP.
