Technician (Repair Operations)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for an onsite Technician (Repair Operations) in Singapore. The role covers standard repair and inspection of aircraft engine parts within a cell, supporting production linearity, workshop setup and housekeeping, and developing a multi-skilled workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Execute standard repair and/or inspection processes for aircraft engine parts using approved technical data and standard work processes.
• Carry out cross-functional tasks in the Cell & Repair Operations, specialising in areas such as sheet metal, welding, machining, bonding, fiberglass, plasma spray or painting.
• Support production linearity, workshop setup, housekeeping and other assigned activities.
• Develop towards a self-directed, multi-skilled workforce through planned skills training.
• Use machines, equipment and tools to carry out standard repairs.
• Maintain and manage operational tooling and fixtures to ensure readiness and compliance.
• Document repair work accurately and completely, including transactions in SAP/G8.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• NITEC in Aircraft Maintenance, Aircraft Component, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Precision Engineering or another relevant course.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal, welding, machining, bonding, fiberglass, plasma spray or painting.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and eager to learn, with a growth mindset.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts and commit to overtime when required.
• Advantageous: analytical, with leadership and supervisory skills; experience in aircraft engine workshop practice and gas turbine engine maintenance and repair with relevant approval ratings.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on repair work in the listed trades.
