Test Engineer III (Medical)

About the role

Jabil is hiring a Test Engineer III (Medical) who designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production. The role also includes leadership and management of Test Engineers I and II, covering recruitment, training, performance management and technical oversight of the test function.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and interview Test Engineers I and II, coach them in the hiring process and monitor team turnover
• Identify development needs, create or validate training curriculum and mentor Test Engineers I and II
• Set measurable goals, collect feedback from managers and peers, conduct evaluations and drive continuous improvement
• Define and implement test engineering strategies aligned with campus direction and report progress to the Assistant Test Engineering Manager
• Reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems, and monitor cost trends
• Manage the engineering test function for standard and custom devices, including ICT, FVT, ESS and system-level test
• Evaluate test procedures and equipment, document performance data and recommend process changes
• Help develop special test equipment and software, train customers and new test engineers, and act as technical liaison for customers
• Explore new test technologies, analyse test quality trends and lead corrective actions, and monitor NPI activities

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
• Five to ten years of experience
• Knowledge of Medical ISO 13485 and FDA inspection is highly recommended
