Textile Designer

About the role

The Textile Designer will create and develop fabric designs and patterns for garments, home textiles and industrial applications. Working within a dynamic design studio, you will translate market trends into compelling visual concepts that meet production and merchandising requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Research current fashion and textile trends to inform design direction.
• Conceptualise and produce digital or hand-drawn patterns using industry-standard software.
• Select appropriate colours, materials and finishes for each design.
• Collaborate closely with production and merchandising teams to ensure feasibility and quality.
• Prepare design files and specifications for manufacturing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in textile or surface design.
• Strong understanding of fabric types, weaves, prints and colour theory.
• Creative, detail-oriented and trend-aware mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience with textile-specific CAD software.
