Trading Operator

About the role

The Operations team drives the logistics core of our business. As a Trading Operator you will combine technical knowledge with commercial insight to maximise P&L for traders while ensuring smooth trade execution.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize deal P&L through efficient voyage planning.
• Streamline operational workflows to enhance efficiency and minimise errors.
• Manage the full supply‑chain process from sourcing to delivery of oil and petrochemical cargoes, including payments and demurrage.
• Prepare and execute sales contracts and general terms and conditions, and assist chartering teams with vessel clearance and post‑fixture optimisation.
• Assess operational risks, suggest controls and ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of operations experience in the oil/petrochemical trading sector.
• Graduate degree in engineering, supply‑chain or a related field is desirable.
• Good knowledge of trade agreements, industry standards and international shipping regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under high pressure.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Hands‑onto Aspect or similar trade‑operations software.
