Vice President, Application Development

About the role

Singlife is seeking a Vice President to lead its Application Development function. The role will drive the design, development and technical governance of digital and back‑office platforms that support the company’s insurance and financial services offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, develop, implement and support digital channels and back‑office systems.
• Own high‑risk components, conduct code reviews and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
• Define technical specifications, incorporating security, performance and other non‑functional requirements.
• Lead system low‑level design, including infrastructure architecture.
• Promote automated unit testing and continuous integration practices.
• Drive technical and process innovation to improve delivery efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading application development teams within the financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of digital platform strategies, governance and best engineering practices.
• Ability to translate business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
