Vice President, Debt Capital Markets (Loan Syndications)

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is hiring a Vice President for its Debt Capital Markets team in Singapore. The role helps clients access global debt markets, supports senior originators and contributes to a sustainable, client-focused business across the region. It involves developing value-added relationships with key clients, working closely with relationship managers and delivering high-quality support and product interface on capital markets financing opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Drive origination of primary market business across South and Southeast Asia, focusing on flow-oriented deals.
• Originate, structure and execute debt transactions for local, regional and global capital markets, from due diligence and documentation through settlement.
• Work with relationship managers to support clients across multiple debt products and currencies.
• Prepare pitchbooks and materials for client meetings and follow-ups, and provide market updates and pricing information.
• Perform analytical work for client funding requirements, respond to RFPs and create trade ideas.
• Partner with distribution and sales teams and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with AML/KYC standards.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of experience in banking or finance.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience covering South or Southeast Asia markets; prior exposure to key ASEAN markets is required.
• At least 5 years in debt capital markets origination or distribution within the region.
• Strong understanding of corporate lending and credit analysis, which is a significant advantage.
