Visual Communications Designer

About the role

Kingsmen is hiring a Designer, Visual Communications for its Singapore headquarters on a permanent basis. The role covers developing creative visual concepts, designing graphic applications such as environmental graphics, signage and wayfinding, and delivering them through production and site coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop creative visual concepts aligned with project objectives and brand requirements, using sketches, mood boards and visual references.
• Design graphic applications including environmental graphics, exhibition graphics, infographics, interpretive content, signage, wayfinding systems and branded experiences.
• Develop artwork from concept to final production, preparing production drawings and print-ready files for fabrication and installation.
• Collaborate with designers, content developers, project managers and production teams, and deliver designs on time.
• Apply typography, layout, colour, composition and visual hierarchy across formats and environments, adapting concepts to different scales, materials and spaces.
• Review colour proofs, mock-ups and samples, coordinate with vendors and fabricators, and conduct site visits and inspections to check installations against approved designs.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Communication Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in graphic design, visual communication, environmental graphic design, exhibition design or related creative fields.
• Strong portfolio showing concept development, typography, layout, visual storytelling and graphic execution.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, well organised and able to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Advantageous: experience in exhibitions, museums, galleries, attractions, retail or themed entertainment; knowledge of environmental graphics, signage, interpretation and wayfinding; understanding of fabrication, large-format printing and production; basic spatial and visitor experience design knowledge; experience inspecting sites and coordinating installations.

Required skills

• Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong understanding of typography, colour, composition, visual hierarchy and information design.
