Innovation Designer, Research & Development

About the role

P&G's Research & Development Innovation Design Studio in Singapore (Biopolis Innovation Centre) is looking for an Innovation Designer to turn new product ideas into reality across physical and digital platforms. The studio works on early-stage ideas from concept to launch, with Industrial Designers, Digital Designers and CMF experts across Hair Care, Skin Care and Personal Care, including established brands such as Olay, Pantene, Safeguard and Head & Shoulders.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop new beauty experiences and product and package ideas
• Translate consumer understanding and trends into design solutions that meet business objectives
• Iteratively prototype new product experiences
• Manage projects independently, from concept to launch, with clear strategy and strong execution
• Collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in BS or BA in Industrial Design / Product Design
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in 3D Product Design & Development and Digital Innovation (visualization and storytelling)
• Portfolio showing innovation design mastery (strategy and execution)
• Ability to rapidly sketch and communicate new ideas
• Experience with GenAI-enabled ideation

Required skills

• 2D visualization (Illustrator / Photoshop)
• 3D CAD (Rhino / KeyShot)
• Rapid prototyping (3D printing and rough hand models)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and CMF/decoration techniques (blow molding, injection molding, plastics and glass)
