VP of Sales & Business Development – Banking

About the role

The company is a fast‑growing global payment infrastructure provider seeking a senior commercial leader to drive its APAC expansion within the Financial Services vertical. This hands‑on individual contributor will own the full sales cycle with banks, acquirers, fintechs and other financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and execute the commercial strategy for the Financial Services vertical across APAC.
• Identify, engage and close enterprise deals with banks, acquirers, fintechs and other financial institutions.
• Establish trusted relationships with C‑suite and VP‑level decision‑makers.
• Design tailored go‑to‑market approaches and lead complex negotiations for long‑term partnerships.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, legal, finance and customer experience teams to shape positioning and growth strategy.
• Monitor payment trends, regulatory changes and client needs, feeding insights back into product development.
• Represent the company at industry events, forums and discussions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business development or enterprise sales experience in payments, banking, fintech or a closely related industry.
• Proven track record of closing complex enterprise deals across APAC.
• Deep knowledge of regional banking, acquiring and payment ecosystems.
• Established relationships with senior decision‑makers in the financial services sector.
• Exceptional commercial judgment, communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to execute independently.
• Comfort operating across cultures, time zones and fast‑moving, ambiguous environments.
• Advanced English proficiency.
