Water Treatment Engineer – Ultra Pure Water Systems

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Engineer to join our water treatment team, focusing on the operation and maintenance of ultra‑pure water (UPW) systems. The role involves hands‑on monitoring, data analysis, and coordination with vendors to ensure optimal plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily log sheets for the UPW system and generate timely trending reports.
• Maintain operational and maintenance records for monthly client submission.
• Extract and download data from online instrumentation and meters into the reporting system.
• Perform routine on‑site calibration and verification of portable and online measurement instruments.
• Prepare Method of Statement (MOS) and Risk Assessment (RA) for maintenance activities.
• Inspect plant performance, troubleshoot out‑of‑spec conditions, and minimise downtime.
• Coordinate and supervise sub‑vendors during preventive maintenance activities.
• Assist with chemical top‑up, system back‑washing, consumable replacement, and other routine operations.
• Support start‑up, shutdown, and regeneration procedures, and maintain plant housekeeping.
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma or Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, maintenance, or construction of water treatment facilities.
• Experience with ultra‑pure water systems is an advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude for solving site issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
