Weekend Trader - Multi-Asset & 24/7 Markets

About the role

Hytech, a management consulting firm with offices across Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Cyprus and Dubai, is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Trader to own its weekend trading operations. During weekend shifts you will be directly responsible for trading P&L, market risk and capital across a 24/7 offering covering multiple asset classes and digital assets, with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Own trading P&L, market risk and capital during weekend sessions
• Make independent, real-time trading and risk decisions in volatile or unexpected markets
• Monitor exposures, liquidity and market movements across multiple asset classes and 24/7 markets
• Design, test and optimise weekend trading and risk-management strategies
• Identify trading opportunities and improve pricing, execution and risk frameworks
• Partner with quantitative, technology and trading teams to strengthen algorithmic trading
• Contribute to the development and expansion of the 24/7 trading product

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a risk-taking trading role on the buy or sell side
• Strong understanding of market risk, position management and trading P&L
• Hands-on experience with systematic and/or algorithmic trading
• Comfortable making independent decisions in fast-moving markets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, especially during market volatility
• Experience across multiple asset classes is highly valued; leveraged products experience is an advantage but not essential

Schedule: two extended 12-hour weekend shifts and two regular 8-hour weekday shifts.
