Welder - TIG Welding and Turbine Blade Repair

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a welder who performs all types of welding and metal fabrication work according to work instructions, from simple to complex tasks. The welder reports to the Operations Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and perform TIG welding on high-temperature alloy components for the repair of turbine blades and related products.
• Carry out blending and repair activities on turbine blade components in line with approved work instructions and quality standards.
• Ensure product quality requirements are met while maintaining equipment care, production targets, housekeeping and schedules.
• Comply with all EHS requirements and report unsafe conditions promptly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop and production processes.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Secondary education or equivalent; NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Experience in TIG welding, welding operations, aerospace, manufacturing, engineering or a related field is advantageous; candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply, as structured on-the-job training is provided.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures and production documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts.
