Workforce Development Engineer - Strategic Program Management Office

About the role

Micron is hiring a Workforce Development Engineer for its Strategic Program Management Office. You will analyze, design, develop, implement and evaluate the learning solutions and programs that enable companywide technical skill development, working with global and local workforce development partners.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze learning needs to identify skill gaps and build strategies supporting departmental competency development
• Recommend internal or external learning methods, tools and programs to drive technical skill growth
• Develop, revise and enhance course materials using instructional design principles, considering objectives, delivery, outcomes and assessment
• Deliver and facilitate classroom or alternative training sessions, including programs that strengthen AI competencies
• Use training metrics, data and participant feedback to evaluate and improve courses, and run continuous improvement projects
• Ensure training aligns with standards, guidelines and policies, and apply AI and automation solutions to day-to-day tasks
• Share best practices with global and local partners and collaborate with external organizations and domain experts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, a related field or equivalent experience
• Able to engage learners and deliver knowledge to diverse audiences
• Knowledge of training techniques, especially adult learning theory
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Project management, problem-solving and customer service abilities
• Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy responsibly

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
