WSH Coordinator – Industrial Services (Singapore)

About the role

Our client, a well‑established industrial services company in Singapore, is looking for a Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Coordinator to join the HSEQ department. Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the role is based at the Joo Koon headquarters and involves regular travel to sites such as Tuas Avenue Factory, Bukom and Jurong Island.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with Singapore WSH regulations and client requirements.
• Review, maintain and update risk assessments, safe work procedures, method statements and permit‑to‑work documents.
• Investigate incidents, near‑misses and unsafe conditions, and drive corrective actions.
• Organise toolbox talks, safety orientations and awareness programmes for staff and subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety standards and personal protective equipment usage.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety reports and maintain records for internal and external audits.
• Support HSEQ audits, follow‑up on corrective actions and contribute to the development of HSEQ initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a WSH Coordinator or in a similar safety role.
• WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B) or equivalent HSE qualification; Registered WSHC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel across sites and comply with full PPE and security clearance requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to prepare and manage risk assessments, safe work procedures and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Effective communication for safety training and stakeholder engagement.
