Academic Manager – Graduate Programmes

About the role

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU is seeking an experienced Academic Manager to lead its Graduate Coursework and Graduate Research programmes. This senior role combines strategic oversight, operational management, and student support to ensure excellence in postgraduate education.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a team, handling planning, staffing, performance appraisal and resource management.
• Lead administration of Postgraduate Coursework (PGC) and Postgraduate Research (PGR) programmes, including admissions, examinations, graduations and student welfare.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, policies and process‑improvement initiatives for graduate programme operations.
• Manage admissions workflows, coordinate interviews, and handle offer and onboarding processes for new students.
• Track student academic progress, communicate policies and deadlines, and provide a supportive environment for student well‑being.
• Act as primary liaison for international university collaborations, preparing MOUs/MOAs and representing the school in committee meetings.
• Provide advisory input on graduate policies and regulations to faculty and senior staff.

Required profile

• Proven managerial experience with a strong focus on academic administration.
• Passion for education and commitment to delivering high‑quality graduate programmes.
• Excellent organisational, planning and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Knowledge of postgraduate admissions, curriculum development and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to lead teams, drive process improvements and support student success.
