Accountant – APAC Finance (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the APAC finance team of a leading multi‑technology social media company on a 12‑month contract. The role will focus on statutory financial statement compliance, audit coordination and tax filing for a portfolio of APAC entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure timely, accurate statutory financial statements for assigned APAC entities.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and oversee outsourced partners preparing financial statements.
• Coordinate audit processes with statutory auditors and the International Statutory Operations COE team.
• Collaborate with tax teams to file corporate tax and VAT returns and review tax‑related balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead projects to optimise statutory compliance processes, including design, testing and rollout of new tools.
• Act as primary contract administrator, handling end‑to‑end vendor contracting, billing and purchase order issuance.
• Work cross‑functionally with finance and other departments to support ad‑hoc analysis and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience in a fast‑growing multinational or Big‑Four environment.
• Recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACCA).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines.
