Accountant – FinTech & Payments

About the role

We are seeking a diligent, detail‑oriented Accountant to join our global finance team. In this mid‑level position you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of Ezra’s financial operations within a fast‑paced, multi‑currency lending and payments environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounting processes including AP, AR, GL maintenance and bank reconciliations.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close activities, prepare journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of payment gateways, settlement accounts and multi‑currency ledgers.
• Assist in preparing management accounts, variance analysis and cash‑flow forecasts to support business decisions.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with GST/VAT, WHT and corporate tax.
• Identify process bottlenecks and support ERP enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with TransferTo Group finance teams on inter‑company transactions, transfer pricing and consolidated reporting.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of accounting or audit experience, preferably in fintech, payments or lending.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to thrive in a high‑growth startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards.
• Proficiency with modern ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas).
