Accountant – Full‑Cycle Accounting for Law Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full‑cycle accounting and daily financial operations for a law firm. The role ensures accurate client ledger maintenance, strict fund segregation, and compliance with local regulations while supporting cross‑border financial collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, disbursements, general ledger entries and process bank payments and receipts.
• Maintain client ledgers with absolute segregation of client and firm funds and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, trial balances, annual financial statements and assist in budgeting and management analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, process monthly payroll and handle employer tax return filings.
• Monitor cash flow, enforce internal control policies and generate AR aging and WIP reports for credit control.
• Act as the primary financial liaison with local practice groups, administrative teams and regional/head offices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of full‑set accounting experience within a law firm, preferably a foreign law practice.
• In‑depth knowledge of local regulations governing law‑firm financial operations, client account bookkeeping and fund segregation.
• High sense of responsibility, strict ethical standards and strong ownership of financial data accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across local and international offices.
