Accountant, General Ledger (GL)

About the role

Join a well‑established global technology infrastructure organisation as a General Ledger Accountant. You will be part of a dynamic finance team supporting a fast‑growing business, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with complete documentation of all financial transactions.
• Manage month‑end closing activities, including profit & loss statements and related reports.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations, supporting schedules and detailed analysis.
• Analyse costs, revenues and commitments to aid forecasting.
• Monitor accounting reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Support budgeting processes and track expenditures against budget.
• Identify financial variances and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP and SOX.
• Assist with internal and external audits and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end closing and reconciliations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
