Accountant – Statutory Compliance & Vendor Management (APAC)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to lead statutory financial statement compliance for a portfolio of APAC entities. The role combines financial reporting, audit coordination, tax filing and vendor contract management within our International Statutory Operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and ensure timely, accurate statutory financial statements for assigned APAC entities.
• Manage relationships and service levels with external vendors and oversee outsourced partners.
• Coordinate and lead the audit process with statutory auditors and the StatOps COE team.
• Work with Tax Teams to file corporate tax and VAT returns and review tax‑related balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Lead projects to optimise statutory compliance processes, including design, testing and rollout of new tools.
• Act as primary contract administrator, handling end‑to‑end vendor contracting, billing, purchase orders and risk reporting.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to execute contracting project plans and drive continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Recognised accounting qualification (CA, ACCA).
• 8+ years of experience in a fast‑growing multinational or Big‑Four environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills in a fast‑paced setting.
• High attention to detail with a macro‑level perspective.
