Accountant – Vessel Accounting

About the role

Fleet Ship Management is seeking an Accountant to support daily vessel accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, fund transfers and preparation of full set accounts for its fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Handle vessel accounting and portage bill accounting.
• Raise fund requests to vessel owners and monitor receipts.
• Prepare full‑set vessel reports with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with internal functions to ensure timely report completion.
• Scrutinise vessel reports and respond to owner queries.
• Assist in reconciliation of inter‑company vessel balances.
• Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors or head office.
• Support finance & accounts department with ad‑hoc assignments and SOX audit preparation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of solid accounting experience handling vessel reports independently.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business or equivalent.
• Effective decision‑making, analysis & problem‑solving, collaboration and communication skills.
