Accountant – Vessel Finance

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant to support the daily vessel accounting operations for our global fleet. The role involves handling accounts receivable/payable, fund transfers, and preparing full‑set vessel reports. You will work closely with internal finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vessel accounting, including preparation of full‑set vessel reports.
• Handle portage bill accounting and raise fund requests to vessel owners.
• Monitor and reconcile inter‑company vessel balances and fund transfers.
• Coordinate with other functions to ensure timely completion of reports.
• Respond to queries from vessel owners regarding financial statements.
• Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
• Assist in SOX audit preparation and support year‑end audit activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in vessel accounting or related maritime finance.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
