Accountant – Vessel Finance

About the role

Fleet Ship Management is seeking an Accountant to support daily vessel accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, inter‑company fund transfers, and preparation of full‑set vessel accounts. The role will work closely with internal finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Handle vessel accounting and portage bill accounting.
• Raise fund requests to vessel owners and monitor receipts.
• Prepare full‑set vessel reports with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with other functions to meet reporting deadlines.
• Scrutinise vessel reports and respond to owner queries.
• Assist in reconciling inter‑company vessel balances.
• Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
• Support SOX audit activities and prepare audit schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of solid accounting experience, preferably handling vessel reports.
• Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business, or equivalent.
• Effective decision‑making, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
