Accounting Teacher (A-Level & Foundation)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounting Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will deliver IGCSE, A Level and Foundation Accounting programmes, creating an engaging learning environment for diverse learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver Accounting lessons in line with the syllabus and scheme of work.
• Teach IGCSE, A Level and Foundation/IY1 Accounting programmes as assigned.
• Apply differentiated teaching strategies to meet varied student abilities.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages active learning and critical thinking.
• Prepare, administer and mark assessments, assignments and examinations.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and intervene when necessary.
• Serve as a mentor or Form Teacher, offering academic and pastoral support.
• Communicate with parents, staff and support teams regarding student wellbeing.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings and professional development activities.
• Support co‑curricular activities and undertake additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in Accounting (teaching qualification preferred).
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with IGCSE, A Level or Foundation curricula.
• Strong subject knowledge in Accounting.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and a collaborative team player.
