Accounts Executive – Associate (Singapore)

About the role

Waystone is seeking a self‑motivated Associate – Accounts Executive to join its Singapore operations. You will work closely with the Compliance Solutions Manager and senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance for our institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping, prepare trial balances and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accounting schedules for fixed assets, pre‑payments, accruals, loans and hire‑purchase arrangements.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports and XBRL filings.
• Support corporate and individual income tax computations, GST, payroll and year‑end audit liaison activities.
• Ensure compliance deadlines are met, annual returns are filed correctly and documentation is complete.
• Identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members and support management in meetings to achieve monthly targets.
• Undertake ad‑hoc duties as assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Financial accounting qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Singapore accounting experience is an advantage.
• Process‑oriented, disciplined and detail‑focused with strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with XBRL reporting.
