Aerospace Technician - Engine Assembly and Inspection

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an onsite Technician in Singapore. The role covers assembly, disassembly and inspection of engines, modules, components and accessories, following standard operating procedures and supporting workshop engineers and cell leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate machinery, equipment and tools to assemble, disassemble and inspect engines, modules, components and accessories.
• Interpret and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance with technical standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during daily operations to keep workflow efficient.
• Support Workshop Engineers and Cell Leaders in reaching production and operational targets.
• Perform SAP transactions, including updating and modifying work orders.
• Take part in EH&S programmes and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in engine or module assembly, disassembly, inspection or testing.
• Candidates with an Aerospace Engineering qualification but no prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Physically fit and able to lift and carry components safely.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and manuals; meticulous, proactive and eager to learn.
• Willing to work rotating day and night shifts and commit to overtime when required.

Required skills

• Preferred: technical experience in Engine MRO or the aerospace industry.
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
