Aerospace Technician

About the role

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is looking for an Aerospace Technician based onsite at Changi North Crescent, Singapore. The technician performs overhaul, rework, repair and associated operations on aircraft equipment and components, working independently and as part of a team to meet high standards of quality, safety and output.

Key responsibilities

• Perform work at cell level to meet the production schedule.
• Assemble, disassemble, clean, inspect, troubleshoot and test in accordance with the Component Maintenance Manual.
• Promptly resolve issues and keep repair cost estimates accurate.
• Work closely with supervisors and other support staff to solve problems.
• Follow the Quality Management System (e.g. AS9110C / Airworthiness Part 145).
• Use common measuring tools such as torque wrench, calipers, micrometers, bore and depth gauges.
• Comply with environment, health and safety policies, and US and Singapore export control regulations.
• Take part in process improvement and HSE activities.

Required profile

• NITEC, Higher NITEC or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics or another aerospace-related course).
• Passed CAAS/EASA air legislation papers (L12, L11, M10) or similar qualifications are an advantage.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, and to follow technical manuals, drawings and specifications.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• No prior aviation experience is welcome, as training is provided.

Required skills

• Reading and using technical manuals, service orders and drawings.
• Basic computer literacy; knowledge of SAP is preferred.
