Aerospace Technician (Mechanical / Sheetmetal)

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, is hiring an onsite Aerospace Technician (Mechanical / Sheetmetal) in Singapore. The Advanced Structures team uses advanced materials and additive manufacturing to build complex interior and exterior aircraft solutions, and is looking for candidates who understand repair work and can deliver high-quality results.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and document defects accurately in Inspection Repair Records (IRR)
• Perform mechanical repair, part forming and part replacement work
• Carry out assembly and disassembly work
• Use an alignment jig / ASMJ for repair work
• Follow the repair scheme / routing and clear the route after job completion
• Final inspect completed repairs to ensure they are serviceable and ready for release to service
• Produce good quality repair work
• Understand personal PPE and maintain a safe 5S workshop environment

Required profile

• Diploma/Nitec in Aerospace / Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude and a keen interest to learn
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply for an entry-level position

Required skills

• Understanding of blueprints, repair instructions and sketches
• CAAS A12, B11 and L11/L12 papers are advantageous
