Application Developer (AOS) - Airport Operation Systems

About the role

Singapore Airlines' Information Technology Division is hiring an Application Developer for its Application Services (Airport Operation Systems) department. The successful candidate will assist various Customer Service agile squads, as required, to speed up new product and feature development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot and React.
• Build responsive, reusable front-end components with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Integrate applications with internal and external systems via APIs and messaging platforms.
• Design and implement database solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Design and implement continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines.
• Develop new features for new and existing applications, and scalable, secure RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Support product owners by refining user stories and write automated unit, feature and regression tests.
• Maintain technical design, low-level design and test scripts, and troubleshoot issues and provide production support when needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Strong Java experience for server-side development, including building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong React.js experience and end-to-end integration of microservices with front-end systems (websites, mobile).
• Good understanding of agile methodology, design thinking, source control and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with test-driven development.
• Exposure to GenAI/AI-assisted software development.
• Highly regarded: microservices deployment experience, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift, cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and React/Vue/Angular.
