Assembly Technician - Gearbox Assembly

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an Assembly Technician in Bedok, Singapore. The technician assembles mechanical components and sub-assemblies into complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications, and works closely with engineers and quality control.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies to form complete gearboxes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect and test components to ensure they meet quality standards, identify defects and address them.
• Use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments to assemble and test gearboxes.
• Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, test results and adjustments or repairs made.
• Diagnose and resolve assembly issues so the final product is fully functional and meets performance requirements.
• Work with engineers, quality control and other team members to keep assembly efficient and accurate.
• Follow all safety regulations and protocols.

Required profile

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.
