Assistant Cook

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Cook to join our island‑wide kitchen team in Singapore. You will support the Cook in daily food preparation, maintain a clean work environment, and help ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook with food preparation tasks such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise preparation areas in line with hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect and store kitchen utensils, equipment and cookware.
• Measure, weigh and store ingredients and supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances including knives, cutters, mixers and ovens.
• Manage inventory, receive deliveries and organise the storeroom.
• Support menu development and improvisation of existing dishes.
• Maintain kitchen expenses, food costs and staffing within budget.

Required profile

• Ability to work shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with North Indian cuisine.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to learn.
