Assistant Finance Manager – Finance Controllership

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to lead finance controllership across multiple entities of ShopBack Group. You will own month‑end close, reporting, cash management and act as a key business partner to Country General Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive full month‑end close and produce reporting packs (balance sheet, P&L, cashflow) for multiple entities on strict deadlines.
• Perform variance analysis, build month‑over‑month and actual‑vs‑budget narratives used by leadership.
• Bridge local GAAP with IFRS, manage cash position and ensure sufficient runway.
• Collaborate with Treasury, Group Reporting and Shared Service Centre to streamline processes.
• Partner with Country General Managers and regional FP&A to defend numbers and lead deep‑dive discussions on material variances.
• Advise Tax, Legal and Product teams on accounting and tax implications of new country or product launches.
• Lead statutory audits and oversee direct and indirect tax compliance in partnership with advisors.
• Support evaluation of M&A targets and review capital structure.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
• Experience handling multi‑entity financial reporting, cash management and statutory audit coordination.
• Comfort working with both local GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Proactive stakeholder management skills, able to work directly with senior leadership.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality results.
