Assistant Manager / Manager / Executive Manager (Sustainability Division) - Contract

About the role

The Sustainability Division plans, strategises and develops initiatives to drive resource conservation and environmental sustainability across the public, private and people sectors, supporting Singapore's move towards a zero-waste nation and climate change mitigation. This contract position is in the Households Branch of the Department of Sustainable Packaging Policy and Household Programmes, supporting the administration of the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Support the review and implementation of the enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme, including addressing public feedback, enquiries and appeals
• Engage government agencies (e.g. HDB), internal units (e.g. legal, finance) and external stakeholders (e.g. retailers) on programme implementation
• Work with participating retailers on programme operations
• Carry out data analysis to improve operational efficiency and evaluate programme effectiveness
• Support other ad-hoc duties

Required profile

• Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in stakeholder engagement, service delivery, data analysis or sustainability, and/or regulatory or programme management roles
• Experience managing large-scale programmes; experience developing or implementing recycling or energy efficiency initiatives is highly advantageous
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Dynamic, pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Meticulous, analytical and problem-solving, with strong teamwork and multitasking abilities

Required skills

• Quantitative skills in data synthesis, analysis and projections
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other data analytics tools (e.g. R, Qlik)
