Assistant Manager / Manager, Planning, Strategy and Data

About the role

This role sits within the Digital Industry Talent Group (DITG), which develops Singapore's digital economy through an ICT ecosystem and good tech jobs for Singaporeans. It is part of the Human Capital Cluster (HCC), whose Planning, Strategy and Data (PSD) division works with stakeholders to analyse ICT and Media manpower trends and shape workforce strategies. The PSD team turns insights about technology and labour market shifts into policy and programme choices.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and progress assurance: drive the strategic planning cycle, align priorities and manage risks, and build tools to monitor cluster and organisation-wide performance
• Strategy and policy: develop and review tech workforce and manpower strategies and policies, and collaborate across government agencies
• Data and foresight: horizon scan and benchmark labour markets, and turn data into scenarios for evidence-based policymaking
• Cross-functional work: lead or contribute to cluster priorities, annual planning cycles, secretariat duties and time-bound projects, and prepare papers and presentations for senior management and officials

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in planning, strategy, public policy, manpower, data and analytics, foresight, programme implementation, industry development or a related field
• Experience in the Singapore public sector or technology industry, especially manpower policy and planning, is advantageous
• Familiarity with government structures and policy processes is advantageous
