Assistant Manager, Student Administration

About the role

The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), established in 1981, is a flagship school with over 120 faculty members and more than 4,000 enrolled students, including about 1,000 graduate students. It is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Master of Science (coursework) academic and program management tasks, helping academic programs run smoothly and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the administration of examinations, assessments and grading processes.
• Process examination marks and ensure timely, accurate recording and reporting of results.
• Monitor students' academic progress and performance, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Implement strategies to improve the quality and relevance of academic programs, including curriculum review and revision.
• Work with faculty and program directors on student concerns, grievances and academic appeals.
• Identify, plan, implement and improve operational and administrative processes for academic and program management.
• Support the planning and delivery of academic events such as orientation programs and student workshops.
• Carry out other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in academic administration or program management roles.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
• Self-driven, resourceful and a good team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Word; advanced Excel is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Power Automate or a similar tool is an asset.
• Experience processing exam marks and familiarity with relevant software systems is highly desirable.
