Assistant Manager/Manager, Regional Tax

About the role

You will join Sea’s HQ Finance department, supporting tax compliance, advisory and governance for the Group’s three core businesses across multiple jurisdictions. The role focuses on both direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring accurate reporting and effective tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Group’s direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting, including review and preparation of tax returns.
• Research, develop and implement tax initiatives, collaborating with business stakeholders to assess tax impacts.
• Manage tax audits in close partnership with finance teams.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects related to tax strategy and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA or advanced taxation certification are preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big 4 tax function or a multinational corporation.
• Strong technical knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, transfer pricing regulations, and cross‑border tax issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently.
