Assistant Nurse Clinician

About the role

The Assistant Nurse Clinician works closely with the Nurse/Care Manager to deliver safe, cost-effective, high-quality nursing care to patients in Ang Mo Kio. The role combines direct patient care with clinical decision‑making, critical thinking and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in line with policies, standards and professional competencies.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to assess needs, plan admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Monitor patients for clinical deterioration, perform physiological assessments and escalate when required.
• Execute physicians’ orders, assist with bedside procedures and document care accurately.
• Educate patients and families on disease progression, prevention and self‑care.
• Support infection‑control practices, resource optimisation and budget compliance.
• Lead in‑service training for nurses and students and mentor new staff.
• Supervise the use of medical equipment, EMR systems and clinical workflows, especially during emergencies.

Required profile

• Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid practising licence with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Competence in handling medical equipment.
