Assistant Preschool English Language Teacher (L1/L2 Certified)

About the role

The Assistant Preschool English Language Teacher supports the lead teacher in delivering a high‑quality, developmentally appropriate English curriculum for young learners. Working Monday to Friday in the Orchard area, you will help create a safe and engaging environment that nurtures children’s holistic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the main teacher in planning and delivering engaging English language activities.
• Support classroom routines, daily programmes and the preschool curriculum.
• Prepare teaching materials, learning resources and classroom displays.
• Guide and supervise children during lessons, indoor and outdoor activities, meals and rest time.
• Observe children’s learning and behaviour, providing feedback to the main teacher.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization and learning resources.
• Document children’s learning progress and classroom activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with ECDA regulations, health and safety guidelines and centre policies.

Required profile

• Recognised ECDA L2 certification.
• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Teaching) or equivalent.
