Assistant Store Manager - 1 Year Contract

About the role

H&M Group is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for a 1-year contract in Singapore, working 44 hours per week. You will lead a team of managers, visual merchandisers and sales advisors, set the tone for a welcoming and inspiring store and help deliver excellent customer experiences that go beyond the expected.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service through expert styling advice, strong product knowledge and an engaging store experience.
• Interpret sales data to drive performance and take ownership of the store's commercial success.
• Lead and inspire a team of managers, visual merchandisers and sales advisors to exceed service and operational standards.
• Support recruitment and ensure effective onboarding and training of new team members, and identify and nurture future talent.
• Manage all aspects of store operations, including compliance and visual merchandising, to ensure efficiency and high standards.
• Act as a brand ambassador and deliver the best possible experience for every customer.

Required profile

• Proven retail experience with a customer-centric mindset, using customer feedback to inform business decisions.
• Strong commercial awareness of retail KPIs and the ability to align business objectives with customer needs.
• Proven ability to lead teams in fast-paced retail environments and to coach and develop others.
• Clear, confident and empathetic communication with customers and teams, and comfort working varied hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
