Assistant Vice President – Sustainability Strategy (Policy & Insights)

About the role

Temasek is seeking an experienced sustainability professional to join its Sustainability Strategy team as Assistant Vice President, Policy & Insights. Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, you will help shape and implement the firm’s net‑zero, nature‑positive, and inclusive‑growth agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and advance Temasek’s sustainability strategy and policy framework, focusing on net‑zero, nature‑positive and inclusive growth objectives.
• Conduct policy analysis, research and generate insights that inform investment decisions and portfolio engagement.
• Lead institutional and community‑related sustainability initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Support ESG integration across the investment process and drive decarbonisation initiatives within portfolio companies.
• Contribute to thought leadership, advocacy and knowledge‑sharing activities within the broader sustainability ecosystem.

Required profile

• Significant experience in sustainability, climate policy, ESG or related fields.
• Proven ability to translate complex policy and research findings into actionable business strategies.
• Strong stakeholder‑engagement skills with experience working across investment, functional and external partner teams.
• Demonstrated track record of influencing sustainability strategy at a senior level.
