About the role

The Associate Consultant will provide comprehensive radiation oncology services within the National University Health System, delivering patient‑centred care across a range of cancer sites. This role combines clinical duties, teaching, and research to support the institution’s mission and core values.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct radiation oncology consultations, assess patients, stage disease, determine treatment intent and obtain informed consent.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using advanced techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, IGRT, brachytherapy and adaptive radiotherapy.
  • Perform target volume delineation and organ‑at‑risk contouring using CT, MRI and PET‑CT imaging.
  • Supervise and verify treatment delivery, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and the Radiation Protection Act.
  • Manage acute toxicities, conduct on‑treatment reviews and coordinate supportive care with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in tumour board meetings and provide input for combined modality treatments.
  • Provide on‑call coverage for radiation oncology emergencies as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to quality‑assurance and governance standards.
  • Contribute to teaching of registrars, residents, medical students and allied health professionals.

Required profile

  • Qualified medical professional with expertise in radiation oncology.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver comprehensive cancer care and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
