Associate Director / Director – Operations & Finance

About the role

The Associate Director/Director will oversee IMAS’s daily operational activities, driving efficiency across finance, HR, administration and member services. Reporting to senior leadership, the role will shape processes, implement technology solutions and support major industry initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and refine internal processes to support IMAS’s expanding scope, covering operations, finance, administration and HR.
• Lead technology transformation by automating manual workflows in HR, finance and operations.
• Implement and strengthen internal controls, collaborating with external vendors on IT security and process enhancements.
• Coordinate major industry events, managing event planners, speakers and sponsors.
• Oversee office administration, including landlord relations, lease renewals and vendor management.
• Partner with the CEO and Treasurer to develop the annual budget, improve cash management and lead financial close and reporting.
• Manage recruitment, hiring and HR policy updates.
• Operationalise membership and sponsorship acquisition strategies.
• Supervise the education portal iLearn, handling finance and growth planning.
• Liaise with IMAS committees to ensure effective meeting coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of strong operations experience with solid finance and accounting knowledge.
• Agile, flexible mindset capable of re‑imagining future work in asset management.
• Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
