Associate Director – Strategic Communications & Alumni Engagement

About the role

Temasek Foundation is seeking an Associate Director to lead its Strategic Communications and Alumni Engagement function. You will shape the foundation’s brand narrative, design public‑facing programmes, and build a vibrant alumni community that amplifies impact across climate and health initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑design the strategic brand narrative, including messaging framework, editorial calendar and positioning across signature cause areas.
• Identify, design and oversee public‑facing engagement opportunities such as roadshows, pop‑up exhibitions and public forums.
• Facilitate the cross‑team Strategic Engagement Committee to align programmes, communications and resource allocation.
• Develop and execute a long‑term alumni strategy under the TF & Friends framework, including tiered engagement models and volunteer pathways.
• Manage external vendors/agencies for campaigns and activations, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
• Cultivate high‑value alumni relationships and secure profiling opportunities on external platforms.
• Define KPI framework, analyse results and report outcomes to the Board and senior management.
• Oversee the engagement budget and ensure optimal utilisation toward organisational KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public policy or a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic communications, public engagement and alumni relations, preferably in a philanthropic or non‑profit setting.
• Strong collaborative skills with the ability to lead cross‑functional committees.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external agencies and large‑scale activation projects.
