Associate Engineer, Equipment Engineering (Oct 2026 Rec Drive)

About the role

GlobalFoundries is recruiting an Associate Engineer for its Equipment Engineering team in the October 2026 recruitment drive. The engineer performs shift duties (12-hour shifts) to optimise and support the Test Process operation in a module, working in a cleanroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods and procedures for test process control and test process improvement for production.
• Coordinate with specialists so that work meets module objectives and standard operating procedures are followed.
• Design and operate sophisticated test equipment and test fixtures, keeping quality high and defect and failure rates low.
• Analyse reports and charts to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with supplier representatives on quality problems and help run supplier quality improvement programmes.
• Create process job files for test equipment used in production set-up.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, follow safety practices and safeguard tools and equipment.
• Carry out all activities safely and responsibly, supporting environmental, health, safety and security requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant education and/or 1 to 2 years of experience in test engineering or wafer-fab production.
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently.
